Since getting Internet Explorer 7 out the door in October 2006, has kept mostly silent on the topic of its successor. That changed today, as made a couple of significant announcements about IE8.

The only reason why I still use is to test our websites for interoperability and compatibility. And some websites still uses proprietary protocols that needs to view it.

Just as he was the first to talk about IE7, Bill Gates kept the tradition alive and discussed IE8 at the Mix ‘n Mash event here on campus yesterday. Bill was talking to some bloggers about .Next and called it IE8, the same way we do here in the team hallway.


Whatever you call it, it is still with bugs and security holes.
